| What happens once I place my order? |
| When you first place your order you'll get an automated response acknowledging your order. Then we (a real person) will send an email with more information on when your order will be mailed. Then you'll get one more email when your order is shipped and this will include a Delivery Confirmation number. |
| Do the prices include shipping and handling? |
| Shipping costs are not included. You can see our s/h schedule here. Each product page shows the shipping weight for the product. |
| How long will my order take? |
| Most orders are mailed out within 2 or 3 days. It all depends on my sewing schedule and the number of orders I am working to fill.The email I personally send after reviewing your order will give you a pretty accurate ship date. |
| What are ToastyToes filled with? |
| Plain ToastyToes are filled with white rice. We have found rice to provide a long lasting moist heat. However, it does have a "yeasty" smell -- you either hate it or don't mind it. If you hate it, order our flax version. Pam, this means you! |
| How do I know how long to microwave my ToastyToes heat pad? |
| Times will vary based on your microwave's strength and the size of your ToastyToes. It is better to start off with less time and if more heat is desired, heat for another 30 seconds. If you have an herbal filling, be extra careful -- herbs smell pretty bad when you burn them! |
| My Doctor suggested I apply a moist heat to a muscle strain. Will a ToastyToes work? |
| Absolutely. If you want an even "moister" ToastyToes, place a small glass of water in the microwave while heating your pad. |
| Do I use my ToastyToes cold or hot? |
| It is a matter of personal choice! These are called ToastyToes because I first used them for my always cold feet. But some muscle aches or strains (or migraines) do better with cold -- so freeze one! They feel great at room temp placed over your eyes. |
| How long will the scent last in my herbal ToastyToes? |
| Three to six months or longer, depending on the exposure to the air. You can tuck your ToastyToes under your pillow or in a nightstand drawer to help keep it fresh. Of course, you could keep it in a plastic bag between uses, if you are the compulsive type. To release more herbs, twist the insert back and forth. This will re-crush the herbs, releasing their oils. |
